Introducing Mzansi Africa Baseball Originals

Who is Mzansi Africa Baseball Originals (or MABO for short)?

MABO is a nonprofit organization founded for the purpose of helping South African kids gain opportunities through the sport of baseball. It was founded by members of the Alexandra Baseball Club who are passionate about growing baseball in South Africa so that it can be played in all the schools and communities.

Following is a series of articles outlining a project to raise funds in order to ship used baseball equipment from the United States to South Africa. Through the generous contributions mainly of readers of the blog Joburg Expat, we were able to pay for a large shipment of used baseball equipment donated by Pitch in for Baseball, a non-profit organization to help underprivileged children around the world fulfill their dreams of playing baseball.
